Our History

Art Kalenjian is the CEO and founder of Advanced Home Care™ – one of the largest and most highly regarded home care agencies in Massachusetts (founded in 2009).

In 2022, Art recognized a need to expand the continuum of care he is able to provide and seized the opportunity to purchase a Boston-area hospice company, Dignity Hospice™.

Now, Art is pleased to offer end-of-life care to patients and support to loved ones in Greater Boston, MetroWest and surrounding regions. Between the two companies, team members represent more than 30 countries from around the world and speak more than 14 languages. This diversity uniquely positions Advanced Home Care™ and Dignity Hospice™ to be able to provide care to the broadest range of clients in need.

Dignity Hospice™

Dignity Hospice™ recognizes that every patient’s end-of-life journey is unique. We are here to deliver exceptional quality and personalized care that fulfills each patient’s individual wishes, while providing support to those who love them.

It can be overwhelming to navigate the healthcare system, including hospice care. We help our patients understand the care and support services available so they can make the best decisions for themselves and their loved ones. Working together, we can develop customized care plans that meet these wishes.

We enable patients to live their last months, weeks, or days with authenticity regardless of race, color, gender, sexual preference, gender identity or expression, disability, age, country of origin.

Our inclusion programs are designed specifically for patients who identify as Solo Agers, members of the LGBTQ+ community or are part of a multi-cultural community where English may not be the primary spoken language.

While Dignity Hospice™ provides end-of-life care for a wide range of health conditions, we specialize in caring for patients suffering from advanced dementia/Alzheimer’s, cardiac and respiratory diseases, and cancer.

Care is provided wherever our patients call “home” – including private residences, independent, assisted living or memory care communities, long-term care facilities, hospitals, group homes or veteran’s facilities.

Governance

Dignity Hospice™ is led by a team of experienced senior care professionals who are dedicated to helping the organization achieve its mission. The Governance Committee provides support to the executive leadership, interdisciplinary team, and other committee leaders and members, so they are well-prepared to make the difficult decisions they face every day.

Interdisciplinary Team

Our interdisciplinary team plays an important role in providing exceptional care and support to patients and loved ones. Physicians, nurse case managers, social workers, nutritionists, spiritual counselors, bereavement specialists, home health aides, and trained volunteers all work together to maximize comfort, support and overall quality of life. We are here to ensure our patient’s end-of-life wishes are fulfilled.
